Update on the Training Year: 2020-2021
777 Neptune Royal Canadian Air Cadet Squadron is looking forward to commencing training in the fall of 2020. However, given the current conditions with regards to COVID-19, the safety and security of cadets, staff, and parents will affect the training plan for the squadron.
At this time, all in-person training for the 2020-2021 training year will be delayed until after 01 Oct, 2020. However, there will be limited virtual training and engagement during the month of September via our online platform (Microsoft Teams). Senior cadets and staff will be in contact with the cadets throughout the month. For the latest updates, please refer to the squadron website.
New Recruits
The squadron will be looking to recruit prospective cadets for the 2020-2021 training year. However, due to the delayed start, interested applicants are encouraged to review enrolment criteria under the Parent Info – How to Join tab. If you are interested in joining us for this upcoming training year, please send us an email with your contact information. Our contact information can be found under the About Us – Contact Us tab. We will reach out to all those who have expressed interest closer to the commencement of training to discuss the next steps in the recruitment process.
The anticipated in-person registration night will occur on 07 Oct, 2020. Additional information with regards to this event will be provided near the end of September. Returning Cadets
The planning stage has begun for the 2020-2021 training year. Activities will be held in person and virtually. The following survey will be used to plan out potential activities. Please take time to complete this survey.
In addition, please take time to review the linked document - Letter to Cadets and Parents; it will highlight changes that will occur with the upcoming training year.
The squadron will continue to use the Office 365 Platform as a means of communication. Please ensure that you check for updates periodically as updates will be provided on this platform. A town hall will be held on 23 Sept, 2020 to provide additional updates on the commencement of the 2020-2021 training year.
